Whitney's Accomplishments

This past weekend was a big one for Whitney. To start with, she finally got the hang of army crawling on Friday. I think she took advantage of the fact that Kallie wasn't bugging her every 10 seconds and decided to finally take off. It's a good thing it's still warm here because I've decided to keep her in onesies as long as she's army crawling. That way, she won't ruin her cute clothes...and we can replace the onesies, (which after the second kid probably need replacing anyway!).

Then, if that wasn't exciting enough, she started eating those Gerber puffs. (I can't remember what they're called.) She has been eating solid foods for a few months now, so I decided that it was finally time to try out a few finger foods. She had a great time learning to pick up the little stars with her thumb and forefinger. Now, when I get out the container, Whitney practically jumps out of her seat with excitement for them. I sat for quite a while on Saturday evening just watching her figure out how to get them from the tray into her mouth. I realize that's probably not too fun for anyone else but mom to watch, but it is such a miracle to see what these little ones learn in such a short amount of time!

Ashley--Whitney is 8 1/2 mos. now! Just the other day, I realized that she's been out as long as she was in. They just grow too fast.
